Summer 2016 Update

What’s your art space?final idea 3

To celebrate our change of name to Coventry Artspace Partnerships, we have developed a new logo!  We hope you like it.  There were a number of inputs from artists and advice from a branding specialist.  After looking at all the ideas and advice, the logo chosen is one that was developed by our talented Design Apprentice Klaudia Lombara.  Klaudia’s creativity is matched only by her patience in taking on board all the comments and advice from various sources! Having made a new logo to celebrate our new name, we now need to celebrate our new logo! Enter another talented apprentice!  Sheridan, our Marketing and Events Apprentice, has come up with the ‘What’s your art space?’ campaign.  Please send Sheridan ( one image of your current work space or an image of your imagined ideal work space and we will enter them into a competition.  The main prize for the winner of the competition will be 4 months RENT FREE project space at our offices in Eaton House.  Who knows where it will lead you…Q  Images will also be shared on our website and Facebook page.

Artists studios, room hire and exhibition space

The Artspace office is currently located on the 4th Floor of Eaton House, where we also have a number of dry studio spaces available for rent, as well project space and event rooms for hire at extremely reasonable rates.  We are also working with the City Council and a new organisation formed by the studio holders at Lower Holyhead Road, Holyhead Studios, to secure the ongoing future of the building as an arts venue for the city.  To enquire about rental or hire of spaces contact us on

We are also looking forward to making increasing use of 32 City Arcade as an exhibition venue.  This will be the centre of the programme for the City Arcadia Festival between 22nd June and 7th July (see below), during which we will officially launch the venue as a shop front gallery.  A small working party made up of Coventry artists Andrea Hannon, Nicola Richardson, Rob Hamp, Anne Forgan and Lesley Whelan have begun to develop programming plans for the venue and are currently canvassing input and ideas from other artists and curators in the city on how the space can best be used to promote the visual arts in Coventry.  Email them at

Survey of visual artists in Coventry

Feedback on our membership offer has been very positive and we are using the information gathered to review the membership processes and service.  However, we feel more work needs to be done to gather information about the artists working in the city and their art.  To this end we have launched a short survey.  We invite all visual artists working in Coventry to complete the survey, the results of which we look forward to sharing at the next networking and strategy meeting in July.  To complete the survey visit our website or facebook page, or use the following link
